From the age of fifteen, my motto was, Wherever you see injustice, stop it. Growing up, I came to realize that I cant. I have used my writing to defend my rights and the rights of others. When I was helpless and powerless, I still continued to write to empower myself and have some sense of control over my life. My writing is my voice, and these poems speak what I cannot say to anyone else but God. My poetry is my recovery from the past and how I freed myself from it. I hope it inspires you to do the same. Stand up and tell the truth no matter what it costs because the price is always worth it.
