It discusses the hardships of raising three small children while her husband was away on active service in the Far East and Northern Ireland, narrates the challenges of moving as a military family, and tells how she settled into civilian life. Starting from 1962 to the present, Forward Together offers a look at May’s life, both the challenges and the triumphs, as she and her husband now travel and enjoy their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
