Laura is an army brat. She has moved with her family from army base to army base for most of her life, and only ever been surrounded my military men. She can rattle off the titles and positions in the army from lowest to highest, and has even been a part of some training exercises, for fun of course, with her dad, who after many years of service to his country, has been promoted to Sergeant General. Being homeschooled, she has very rarely interacted with kids her own age, but now she is free, attending college at UCLA, far from her father’s current station on the East Coast.
At 18, she finally gets to spread her wings. But Christmas is important to her family, and she comes home for the holidays, to a snow-drenched army base, a far cry from sunny Los Angeles. Laura prepares herself for another run of the mill visit, with family and friends, until she meets Private First Class Suarez. Luis tunes her into the dark side of lovemaking, and when she starts to develop feelings for Suarez, Laura knows that she is in trouble, because the only thing that her father strictly forbids is a relationship with a soldier, especially one that ranks so low in the military hierarchy…
