Entering Infinity

Swami Rudrananda taught his students to see through the diversity of the world into the infinite creative power beneath it. In seeing, feeling, and having a living contact with that source of life, we are released from the limitations of our lives into freedom. In this unique and powerful volume, Swami Rudrananda (Rudi) explores our basic need to grow and the role played by a teacher, or guru, in a person's spiritual practice. He dispels common illusions about spirituality and directs us to accept the full challenge of life. Rudi would say, “I wish to surrender everything—form, matter, sound, all.” A shift occurs as that wish to grow transforms into a deep state of surrender. Rudi talked about this shift over the last two years of his earthly existence, from 1972 until his death in February 1973. The talks in this book are from this period. Rudi emphasized to grow spiritually we must live and work in the world from a deep internal state of surrender without any expectations. The idea is to move through the world and leave no tracks. From a true state of surrender, the spiritual path leads nowhere—it enters infinity.
