Well hello there, how are you doing, my it’s been a long, long time…how are we doing, well I guess we’re doing fine. Our adventures are sounding like an old country and western song. Do you remember my mentioning that a person should pay attention to signs, gut feelings or places with names like Mosquito Creek and why would you camp in such a place? In this series of adventures we will come back to that…in the meanwhile, it has been a long time since we’ve chatted, I hope that all of you are healthy and happy.

We are sitting dockside at Cameron Island in Nanaimo, B.C., Canada. It’s a blustery Saturday afternoon we are sipping cold beer and visiting with Lawrence and Ronnie (one of the captains sons and his almost daughter-in-law) the captain’s youngest grandson Chayce is playing in the sunshine on the floor of the saloon.

Over the adult’s conversation a two year olds version of motorcycle engine noises rises and fades as he climbs huge mountains with his “Harley”. It is a peaceful scene.
