Karen talked to me one night. She told me, “Jack, there's something in my past that will probably cause you to walk away from me forever, but you have to know at some point in time. Some time back, I was involved in a lesbian relationship with a girl named Debbie. Everyone in town knew what was going on, but no one had any proof. I decided that I no longer wanted to be in a lesbian relationship and I broke off the relationship. At about that time, Debbie relocated to the East coast, specifically Florida.” Karen stares at me defiantly.
I ask, “Karen, are you still involved with Debbie?”
Karen tells me, “The affair has ended, once and for all. I can't ever see myself in a relationship with a woman again.”
“Is Debbie still living on the East coast at this point in time?”
Karen answers, “Debbie is still living on the East coast and intends to continue living there for the rest of her life.”
I look Karen in the eyes and tell her, “You were in some sort of relationship in the past, I already forget what kind. The other person has moved very far away and isn't coming back. What's the problem?”
Karen hugs me. Then she backs away from me and lectures me, “There's, just one small problem remaining. You have to understand that Debbie is a bisexual girl, with some very strange kinks. Quite a while back, Debbie literally saved my life. At that point, Debbie and I entered into a lesbian relationship, that Debbie initiated. Even at that time, I had mixed feelings, but I went along with the girl who saved my life. After a while, I just couldn't continue the relationship and I broke off with Debbie. Now Debbie has a problem and I want to help her, to even the score once and for all.”
