In the story plot of this novel, the main characters, Donna and Scott are planning their wedding. The wedding approaches along with an unexpected guest. He is Donna's little brother Mike, who has been missing for a long time. Then as a result of drinking too much punch, Mike starts telling his secrets to the other wedding guests. On the same occasion, Donna also receives news from Mike that their sister, Caitlyn, is pregnant. Mike himself, has been thrown out of his home by his wife. Therefore, Mike pleads Donna and Scott a permission to stay in their house for a while.
During the wedding, Donna in her pretty bridal dress, is envied by many jealous guests. Suddenly, Mike disappears mysteriously in the middle of the party. Nobody sees him for the rest of the evening. In the next morning, Donna receives a phone call. The caller is a police officer, who informs her that her brother has been shifted to a jail in last evening. In the following night, Donna's life was also about to turn around as she nearly ended up in bed with Scott's old class mate, Ryan. Ryan is still very handsome, so it's difficult for Donna to resist following her own temptation.
Donna's Wedding is a humorous reading in spite of some of its dramatic scenes. Donna's lively psyche becomes the central focus of the story at one point along its course. Hopefully, one misfortunate wedding day is not going to destroy her and Scott's marriage entirely.
