Reece Wind is an average girl. Her parents are divorced, and every year, she has to go live with her dad and step mom in an odd town called Tredecim. The queer town is built around a dark, mysterious lake that everyone is terrified to swim in. Many people, mainly children, drown every year, and everyone thinks it's just coincidence. And to top it off, Annie, Reece's stepsister, accidentally falls in the lake one day. When she came back up alive, everyone was ecstatic.
