Transitioning from a student into a professional is not an easy task. I made a lot of rookie mistakes when I started my career. This book does not offer get-rich-quick schemes or reveal the secrets to instant success. Rather, it tells you how to navigate through the first few years of professional life; how to meander through the endless back alleys of job hunting; how to get ahead without getting in over your head; and how to react when you do fuck things up. This is not about winning, Charlie Sheen style, but don’t assume this a lesson in mediocrity either. Rather, it is a book about survival.
