This manual, Department of the Army Pamphlet DA PAM 25-91 Information Management: Visual Information Procedures January 2019, describes procedures for visual information (VI). It contains specific, detailed guidance for managing and operating Army VI activities. The guidance provided in this pamphlet applies to all authorized Army VI activities.

An authorized VI activity is an organizational element (or a function within an organization) in which at least one person is classified as a VI specialist, or whose principal responsibility is to provide VI services. VI activities produce original photography (still and motion media); record, distribute, and broadcast electronically (video or audio); reproduce, distribute, preserve, and acquire VI products; lend VI products or equipment; prepare graphic artwork; fabricate VI aids, models, and displays; operate VI libraries; provide presentation services; or manage any of these activities.
