An open letter to the President of the United States, His Excellency Barrack Hussein Obama:
The presidential election of November, 2008, chose you. My prediction: never in the history of the United States have lovers of liberty faced a blacker assault on personal freedom. (No pun intended.) The horrors of the Civil War, the trenches of WWI, the vicious Japanese and Nazi attacks on freedom, even WWII’s world conflict pale by comparison. I predicted that you would ignore the Constitution and refuse to vacate your office. I firmly believed that your grip on the office would be extended and tightened into an unelected dictatorship, far beyond your legal term of office. I further predicted that the judiciary and Congress (Republicans and Democrats, firmly entrenched in their greed, personal agendas, and self-serving attitudes) would verbally disallow but give tacit support to such an illegal and immoral action.
I was mistaken about you, sir. The jury is still out, however, concerning the will of the judiciary and the legislature to repeal such an attack. I personally believe that such an assault on the presidency would succeed. This belief compelled me to write the novel, Death of a Constitution, and begin writing American Constitution: The Second Coming in the hope of warning my peers of the dangers of living with a dead Constitution and to propose a national return to God and to the original Constitution, a better (albeit unlikely) way.
President Obama, I apologize for my mistaken predictions that you would assume dictatorial powers and for my delayed response. Thank you for limiting your tenure to two terms.
