In 2012, the International Summit of Cooperatives provided a wonderful opportunity to meet many members of the international cooperative movement. This is what motivated Monique F. Leroux, Chair of the Board, President and CEO of Desjardins Group, to introduce some of them and help raise awareness about the value cooperatives add to the economy and society. In this book, Monique Leroux presents the highlights of her conversations with leaders of the cooperative world from North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia who chatted about their experience, their vision of current challenges facing cooperatives and mutuals and their goals for the cooperative world. All proceeds from the sale of the book will go to the Desjardins Foundation to support the education of youth and the next generation of leaders.
