Laura's abilities strengthen. Her belief in herself as a being of higher power grows.
We start off with two birthdays needing to be celebrated; Mabel's and Laden's. Funny stories are told about horrible Christmas happening on the night before they leave Salvation and go home for the holidays. Laura begs that Laden come to her families home to celebrate and to meet them. He must choose to either continue what he knows; staying at Salvation and working alone, or going to Laura's to honor the holiday for the first time in many years. With both his parents having died on Christmas so many years ago, it's easier for him to overlook the holiday, thereby, ignoring the fact of their death. Will he go, for her?
With being at home, Laura needs to deal with her old friends that abandoned her when she needed them the most. Will their friendships re-bloom or will she be the one to walk away this time?
Old Laura appears in a vision and shows her a devastated world; one of complete desolation. She sees the earth as being vacant of all life. A decision must be made to prevent this, but what is it? Laura must learn new lessons; personal loss, humanity and trust. It's not all bad, however, a question that has plagued everyone is finally answered.
The crew gathers so that Laura can fill them in on the vision. More riddles must be solved before the next step can be taken, whatever that step is. Todd finally gets to use his abilities and a friend is made.
An incredible Christmas gift is given to Laura from Laden. But, will this gift turn out to be the worst gift ever or a memory to hold onto?
