Clara's Assignment

On a far off planet in outer space, case workers have decided to send Clara on a mission to help a very unhappy Earthling youngster. The girl's name is Beth. She is nine years old. It doesn't take long for this agent to understand why this seemingly well-off girl is high on the caseworkers' list. Beth has been on the road to self-destruction ever since her family life was shattered by her parents' divorce. Within a few months' time, this very capable girl's grades have slid from the top of the class to rock bottom. As she worked with Beth, Clara began to realize this girl is trying to cope with all of this by doing things that will only give her more trouble in the future.
