Cie, The City in Exile, Book Two: The Pale Tree

A year has passed, and Cieca enjoys a short peace after defeating the Snake God. Agni, having seen Prairie off falls into a slump and continues to see the everyday happenings of the city progress beyond his imagination. Their world has expanded, but with it, so have their problems, and looming ever on the horizon is the threat of the two remaining gods resting in the realm. Can Agni hold himself together long enough to do right, and even more importantly, take up the mantle of protecting Cieca in Prairie’s absence?

Dark fingers now claw their way into Cieca. With the rise of the last gods, so too do their masters begin to rise, their presence beginning to fill the world with all manners of problems. And soon even worse things will test the heroes of the world, intent on driving them to the brink of destruction once again.
