Was it at the visit to the vet's or the new office across town that caused April to lose focus? Actually it was a little of both. Tobler, her chocolate lab, has become fixated with Cotton, a vanilla dog owned by a tenant in the building where she leases an office. Since the playful encounter of the two mismatched dogs, April can't keep her eyes from straying to the handsome face of Jared, Cotton's owner. Near or far, he's on her mind...and she has no intention of pursing a crazy, unnatural interest in a guy that towers over her and has a personality that constantly attracts gorgeous, tall women. April doesn't view herself as having either attribute. She's the serious type who might want a kiss-good-night-date but she doesn't need another fractured relationship. Or does she? When opposites attract, little can be done to avoid differences.
