Chains of Liberation

Jennifer is married to David, a banker; solid, hardworking, unimaginative. They have been together since their mid-teens. Life for Jennifer is safe, secure, but increasingly uninspiring, routine in the extreme. She feels unsettled and constricted, but guilty for feeling so.

Then somehow, at the Bank's Christmas dinner and dance, a single sexist act gradually releases parts of Jennifer’s psyche, with the result that she meets an experienced Disciplinarian and discovers the world of BDSM, her explorations into her psycho-sexual potential stirring her, making her think and feel differently. But if her marriage feels threatened she will give up her new life, as she loves her husband.

She manages her newfound situation skilfully, gaining confidence and assertiveness and a new way of being, but she's then stunned by another unexpected and unwanted form of liberation...
