II. BOOK SYNOPSIS:

In a parallel universe, the year is 2063 on an alternate earth. The world’s population was expected to reach 12.8 billion that prosperous year. Nearly one third of the booming population was projected to live on desert lands, which became rich with precipitation, vegetation, and animal life. The AI technology was expected to improve and reach greater heights; the common solar roof panels would be sustaining energy, the rainwater cleansing system would have ended the water shortage, and natural disasters would have no longer existed, but not that year. The world’s population was almost half its projection, the sun was smothered by the murky sky, more lands were inhabitable, and smart-commercial buildings were nearly destroyed by a self-destruct virus that turned all working computers into explosives. Instead, the AI technology was used to rebuild major cities still suffering from the vestiges of nuclear attacks, the centralized governments were using political propaganda to secretly control the population hoping to stop history from repeating itself, and science’s greatest discovery was slowly destroying the foundation of humanity’s moral and religious systems. Not to forget, the world’s most dangerous serial killer was ready to exploit it all after the death of a beloved priest who once conspired to commit a double murder.

III. GLOBAL CONCERNS:

Shortly after the coordinated terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, also referred to as 9/11, America and the rest of the world has never been the same. Furthermore, in a released video, the religious mastermind for the 9/11 attacks mentioned the hatred of the Crusaders, which was a series of religious wars in the medieval times – many centuries ago. Many religious leaders today have regularly condemned the attacks and those that followed, and consider the manipulations to be contrary to their holy teachings. However, atheists do not agree; they argue that the problem is in religion’s questionable teachings and delusions, which has left similar footprints throughout history. Most importantly, biblical scholars and researchers are already peaking into the possibility of tampered scriptures due to the controversial “slave bible” discovery. The concept of historic recurrence seems very significant at this point, intriguing the public, the media, notable artists, especially historians, and generating many debates whether history repeats itself or not. However, many parties could agree that history does often rhyme. One could say that most governments do not want history to repeat its global catastrophic melodies again, because the next one could be the last.

CADENCE is for those who believe in the interesting concept of historic recurrence. However, this futuristic crime thriller takes that concept much further by applying the doctrines of religion, the arguments of atheism, historical tragic events, scientific innovations, and possible predictions, hoping to show the readers an alternate earth that was nearly condemned for repeating its past despite its advanced technology. Moreover, the tale may leave the audience with one or two burning questions about the fate of the real world, and maybe inspiring them to get more involved in making a positive difference in society. Furthermore, the controversial topic about tampered scriptures might open a new theological discussion about its doctrines, which humanity uses to look at the world and zealously dictate centuries of traditions. Let us remind ourselves that biblical scholars and researchers are already peaking into this tampered possibility due to the controversial “slave bible” discovery. In addition, the reader may be entertained with the characters, the invented technology, and the investigative overall story about the most shocking crime ever committed by man – which has nothing to do with a murder.
