When an archer aims his bow at a target, it is usually done with deliberation, concentration and skill. He aims to place his arrow in the bull's-eye. As with everything in
life, however, the archer and we miss the bull's-eye more than we hit it. Thankfully though in archery the score is not tabulated all or nothing, but in how close the arrows land to the bull's-eye. Archers prefer bull's-eyes, but are glad to take tightly packed arrows placed very close and not completely off the target. My goal in writing this book is to help those of you who are seeking long-term care for your loved one, to have the information you need to “place your arrows” if not in the bull’s-eye as close as possible to it. Meaning I want you to be able to evaluate a nursing facility and have a greater measure of confidence that you made the right choice. If I can help you eliminate missing the target and place valid concerns as tightly as I can in a place of peace when deciding on a nursing home then I will have hit the bulls-eye.
