Thomas Bulfinch (July 15, 1796 - May 27, 1867) might never be as well known as his famous father, Charles Bulfinch, who was the architect of the Massachusetts State House and also worked on the U.S. Capitol building in Washington D.C. Relying on writers like Ovid and Virgil, Bulfinchs motive was to make mythology more popular. In that, he succeeded, as his works are still popular more than 150 years after they debuted.
