A Novella about claiming the power of love in a land where power has been usurped by dark forces.

She needs a name. Her journey is the path to her identity. She needs to dance; she needs to embody the essence of her bliss. A heart’s pure intention of love and healing radiate through her eyes.
Stumbling blocks of love and hate swarm around her threatening to cloud her vision to the enlightened walk that lies before her. She struggles to embody love in a land where darkness is attracted to her.
Spirit guides both imagined and embodied gather around her in the desert of her thirst. They give her signs, metaphors to aid her in claiming her own truth. Some supposed to be enlightened stumble alongside her, but the lessons she is meant to learn she attains through empathy.
She falls in love with a Shoe Man, but more specifically the notion of captivity. The Shoe Men cannot speak because they are tongue tied, trying to remove their shoes with their tongues. Her love for the captive limit her freedom.
She is taken advantage of, and learns to ignore the profound truth of justice’s voice. Until guides of strength and wisdom mirror her, and breath life into her again. Her soul is revived with the power of a smile, a hug and the uplifting arm of the seen and unseen.
