Appian of Alexandria (95 165 A.D.), was a Roman historian, known for his only surviving work, Roman History. The Foreign Wars is a series of books from Roman History describing, among others, the wars in Spain, the Hannibalic War, the Punic Wars, and the Syrian Wars. This edition is translated by Horace White.
