BLOWING THE LAYERS OFF PIXIE DUST: A COLLECTION OF FAIRY-TALE BASED STORIES & MORE is series of short stories that guide a new perspective on some of the world's beloved fairytales and features three extra, bone-chilling, short stories such as, "A Brief Lesson in Criminology," "Subway," and "Thirsty." These three tales will take you on an adventure through the late 1920's and the rise of a new-found Chinese Mafia through the eyes of Tiffany Lesauvage, through the eyes of two girls, Alice and Sarah, as they journey home on a subway, and the fall of Kai, a man underneath the watchful eye of a sadistic mistress. These bonus tales, however, are not only your source of sadism and twists.

"Dead Weight," is a tale exploring the memorable fairytale of a mermaid who desires to be on land, except, this story explores the thoughts of an unnamed protagonist who has had enough with her human half and seeks an answer through any means necessary.

"Three Wishes," and "Wendy," are two short stories that embrace the humorous side of the genie in a bottle and Peter Pan stories respectively. "Three Wishes," follows an unnamed protagonist and her frustrations with a Genie who grants her wishes, literally. While, "Wendy," answers the question of the Darling family's future after their adventures in Neverland. Wendy Darling, joined by her brothers John and Michael, fell from wealth and are resorting to scandalous means to regain their wealth.

Lastly, "Mute Demands," is the story of a mute and unnamed protagonist from a land far off. On a journey to gather materials for her ailing mother, she is approached by two knights from a nearby kingdom and is held at blade-point until she can explain her intentions.
