Midori walked east on Huron toward the hospital. Just after crossing St. Clair, she stopped dead in her tracks causing the business man behind her to bump into her. She grabbed onto a sign post as she fell to her knees with her blood boiling. She blacked out……and came to choking on water. She struggled against panic and gravity to claw her way to the surface. The near freezing water temperature was causing her body to go into shock and she was sure it would lead quickly to hypothermia.

Joe was lying on his back. He looked around; he was lying in the snow surrounded by tall prairie grass on the edge of a clearing with bare tree branches overhead. The sky was the kind of bright pearly-white solid cloud cover that only seemed to happen during winter.
…Where the hell am I? he thought.

Zhan rose to his full height and looked around, finally focusing his eyes to the east. “There is no magic in this world, Hummingbird, other than the magic that we carry within ourselves. I sense companions of mine far to the east. Let us start in that direction and see where it takes us.”

Zhan, Joe and Midori were ripped from their worlds and forced together by fate or unlucky chance. Now they must find a way to work together for survival and a chance to return to the worlds they call home.

Warning: There are a few scenes of strong sexual content. Not recommended for readers under the age of 18.
