This story came to me at the time of the last badger cull in England; it reflects how all the animals come together and help each other, a thing I would like to see more in life. I have included two extracts from the book to give you a taste of what’s to come in the story.
The door of the van he was in opened and this big man reached his paw towards the cage Billy was in, Billy was on his feet in seconds snarling and showing his teeth. The man was making noises with his mouth but Billy had no idea what they meant, then there was a sting in Billy’s back and everything went black.
Billy said “I miss my family, I miss my mum saying good morning Billy sleep well see you in the night, and I miss my dad putting fresh hay in our bedroom, so many little bad dreams thing are just memory now like my sisters pulling my tail, I wish my mummy could stop the but she can’t she’s gone. We must stay strong and wait to see what happens to us”.
