Banana Patch deals with the adventures Michael Jay when he says "Aloha" to his formal education and sells all his possessions to buy a one-way ticket to Maui to live in a place called Banana Patch, (once a real place).  In Banana Patch, Michael Jay discovers the practice of yoga and meditation and how to choose socially conscious alternatives to  racism, war, and dog-eat-dog (win-at-all-costs) competitive attitudes he finds so despicably distasteful.

In his clumsy attempt at becoming a holy man in the Eastern tradition, Michael Jay encounters a couple lasciviously-steamy sexual interludes that cause him an internal struggle coupled with an unending set of metaphysical experiences which goes way beyond the "grasp" of his limited rational mind.

Such spiritual experiences are easily explained away by those characters who practice siddhis (Sanskrit for spiritual powers), and this captivates Michael Jay's attention.  He wants that kind of power.  In fact, he becomes greedy for it.  But, as long as he wants it, he can't have it!

Take an adventure in spirit, fiction, and fantasy set in a mostly-idyllic Hawaiian hippie paradise.  Take the journey to Banana Patch!
