Included in AWAKE are three fascinating stories of resilience and growth.
"13" introduces Rae Tournesol who wakes up on her birthday to find her father still missing and the plague devouring more land. Feeling suffocated she goes out to nap under a tree and wakes up at dusk. Confused, she sets out towards home but there's something off about this strange yet familiar land. Captured by Gatekeepers she struggles to get home. Is she still dreaming or has her nightmare become reality? .
In "Groove Thang" Ari sets out to have a completely spontaneous day of ending relationships, finding new interests, and forming new bonds. Treating herself to whole new way of consuming melodies, she ventures around town. It doesn't all go her way though, finally realizing forward movement isn't lateral Ari steps out of her comfort zone balancing her unrest with rhythm and funk.
Last, "EM" is a thought provoking story of a girl named Vim trying to find herself. Lost in a dimension outside of herself Vim seeks enlightenment. If she thought things were weird already, as she moves deeper in, it only gets stranger. The soon and moon inhabit the sky together, and blank faces close in around her with every step closer to Em— and as much as she wants to quit, an innate longing won't let her.
