Angel of the Pit tells the first person account of twenty-something Randy Madera, an art student living in early 90's Boston. After his wife is violently attacked, Randy finds himself tormented by a sadistic demon named Girl. She claims to come from his past and professes to love him, saying her only desire is to "come home".
Randy learns that Girl needs him to unearth buried childhood memories in order to merge with him in a state beyond possession. He attempts suicide to escape her constant torment, but then finds himself stuck inside a Near-Death Experience, during which he discovers the demon's true origins. He returns to life so corrupted by this knowledge that he transforms into a horrifying threat to everyone he loves, especially his estranged wife.
