Alyosha's father tries to instill his vision into his two sons, the community's biggest thugs. His father is a community advocate with a vision of uniting and uplifting the Black Community. Alyosha and his brother Kenny feel that their fathers' mission is hopeless and a waste of time. The brothers are deviant and refuse to give up the street life.

Alyosha's witnesses his brother and father get gunned down in cold blood. After experiencing such a devastating loss, his father's words start to haunt him. He slowly makes a transition from being a thug to seeing his father's vision.

He eventually becomes a phenomenon after overcoming resistance, adversity and backlash. As he successfully starts to make progress in the community his past comes back to haunt him.

The love of his life has his back and encourages him to continue his fight for change.
