The outline of this novel is based VERY closely on an actual case I investigated in Bangkok a decade ago when I operated a well known Private Investigation sevice in the region.
While much of it did take place in Bangkok, some people and place names have been altered. As in all my novels, characters are based on the rich kaleidoscope of people I encountered whilst CEO of Thai Private-eye.
A wealthy Russian is infatuated with an elegant Thai woman in her final year as a law student. Unbeknown to him, in a rare break from studies, the woman had earlier attended a birthday party at Bangkok's Hard Rock cafe. A number of wines later, she is intrigued by a handsome Afro-American. Like many of her kind, having harboured a fantasy about a sexual encounter with such a man she lets herself be lead down such a path. In any case, this man works with a reputable USA enforcement agency, so it will be safe. He wouldnt let her come to any harm ..... would he ?
