It is an enduring truth that every man born of a woman on planet Earth must go through periods of difficulties or adversities. The creator of the world Himself affirms this in the holy book; “In the world, ye shall have tribulations but take heart, I have overcome the world.” Moreover, the matter is worsened by the fact that nothing can completely prevent one from having troubles and adversities. Not even the righteous are exempted. Again, the owner of the world affirms; “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.”
But, the variable is that people respond to adversities differently. Some are terrified, some give in to the situation, some are destroyed, while some accept the situation and find ways to overcome. Some even emerge from adversities better than they were before. In all these, our responses are moderated by the knowledge we have about adversities; Must they happen? Can we anticipate them? Can we prevent them? Can we minimize the impact? Can we derive benefits and lessons from misfortunes? Etc
