When Tiger Edwards, bass player for the rock band, The Sticks, is found dead of an overdose of alcohol and heroin after a sold out concert, everyone is shocked. Tiger had been clean of drugs for over thirty years. At first, it looks like an accident, or suicide perhaps, but things are not always as they seem. When the police confirm that they found no drug equipment in the room you would expect to find when someone overdoses and dies, the death becomes even more mystifying. Charlotte Hart gets a chance assignment with Melody magazine, which introduces her to the sex, drugs, and rock and roll world of the music business and plunges her into a murder mystery that have left the police baffled. Join Charlie and the colourful array of characters she meets, as together they try to solve the mystery of Tiger's death. Charlie's suburban life changes to one filled with aging rock stars, a handsome bodyguard, a punk-rock grandma, and the obnoxious Sticks manager, who's 'helping' the London Metropolitan Police, Yew Tree Investigation with their inquiries into alleged sexual activities with underage girls. Charlie finds herself digging into a history of crime that goes back more than thirty years.
