There's to be a great interstellar trade conference. Rianna’s worlds send her, their ablest negotiator, to stall for time, so that the balance of trade problems can be overcome and Rianna’s worlds can then become predator, rather than prey. Since there's great danger, a smallish, fast ship is staffed with very skilled mercenaries from a dozen different worlds. The idea is to sneak through space to the conference, without anyone else being aware of the trip.
However, Rianna’s ship had been detected and attacked by ships of another interstellar civilization. Her saucer craft had managed to fight off the attacks, with some loss of life and some damage to the ship. Rianna’s crew had then managed to escape the enemy forces, if only by using some very risky emergency methods.
Once free from attack, the physical damage to the saucer craft had been repaired/is being repaired. However, there remain two problems. The first is the navigational system damage, which I have already described. The second problem is a bit more delicate.
The entire purpose of the journey of the saucer craft is to deliver Lady Rianna to the interstellar trade conference that I mentioned. However, if Rianna is to make a success of the conference, she has to be at her very best. To this end, Rianna has been provided with a navigator from among her own people. The navigator is skilled, of course, but also a tall, handsome, noble stud. When he's not navigating the spacecraft, Studboy is to ensure that Rianna is kept at her very top form. Studboy’s arsenal included candlelight dinners, outrageous flattery and sex.
Unfortunately, Studboy is killed in the fight.
