Sadie knew that her judgement of people was not very good, and she had been burnt once before when she had married a man who had claimed to love her, only to discover that his idea of love was vastly different to her idea of love; and so now she is wary of getting involved with any man.
Nicholas Hargreaves is her boss, and added to that he doesn’t actually like her very much; luckily they only have to deal with each other in the work place.
Things change though when they meet outside of the office and Nick begins to realise that some of his ideas about Sadie were mistaken.
He is determined that as the festive season comes, he will make it up to her, and show her what she is coming to mean to him.
Sadie thinks that Nick is a good man, but then she had thought that her ex-husband was a good man too, and her heart took a severe battering, when he turned out not to be.
