In the African Savannah, there lived a young lion called Oumba. Oumba is a rather unusual lion : he does not like meat, and he has no lion friends. His only friends are a band of zebras, a fact that earns him the mockery of the other lions in his village. Unhappy, and tired of being the butt of so many jibes, Oumba decides to leave and join his friends the zebras, who are to make a journey to a far-off region.
