It is the year 2040 and a killer disease is lurking throughout the entire country of Denmark. Its victims will be of every age and gender regardless of where or how they live.
Every medical treatment for every disease in Denmark must be followed as outlined in The Book. A young doctor is being de-certified for not following The Book. A previous patient had died with somewhat similar symptoms and he chose to go out of The Book for this patient’s treatment which appears to be some what successful.
In the year 2041, Rebekka Lindgren, better known as Rebe or Sam to her friends, is a newly board certified medical doctor in Denmark. She was also just awarded two PhDs in mathematics. How can a newly certified medical doctor with two PhDs in mathematics fight The Book no less an unknown killer disease?
On the hospital rounds Rebe starts to come across patients with very unusual symptoms. Their age and sex varies and she does not understand why.
The highest national ranking medical doctor in Denmark is Dr. Balder Hansen. He and President Angor Jensen of the hospital are old school colleagues. The two of them will have to deal with ‘Sam’ as she tears up the country side to identify what her mathematics is telling her. A national disaster is about to fall on Denmark and no one is listening.
