“I will give it to you, but for the record – this is just to humor you. And yes, I am curious about what foolery you’re going to say next,” she said, amused.
“That is fine,” he said. “Now, I would like for you to move forward to this last week or so in your life. First, there was the little girl, Maddie, who won that incredibly lucky spending trip in the toy store. Then there was Claire, her mother, who you managed to help get into a very nice apartment at a price she can afford. Most of all, there’s Rayna and her miracle pregnancy that occurred after you told her that you wished more than anything that you could make it happen for her.”
“All of those things are strictly coincidence,” Chrystal said incredulously.
“Don’t forget about the woman at the travel agency,” he continued as if she hadn’t spoken. “You told her to go inside because you felt that they would be able to surprise her today. Do you remember some fine, gold colored dust?”
He could see the subtle shift in her expression as he continued to speak.
