Sheryl Sandberg is currently Chief Operating Officer at Facebook. With Facebook's initial public offering Sheryl is positioned to be one of the most powerful and wealthiest women in America if not the world.

Sheryl, has done what any successful business person has done, she's leveraged education, brains, a burning desire, tenacity, connections in and outside corporate America to position her for long-term success.

Previously, she was Vice President of Global Online Sales and Operations at Google, where she managed advertising, publishing, and operations for Google’s global consumer products. From 1996 to 2000, Sandberg worked as Larry Summer’s Chief of Staff at the Treasury Department. Prior to that, Sandberg worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and Larry Summers’ research assistant at The World Bank. Sandberg holds a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in economics from Harvard University.

She is married to David Goldberg, the CEO of SurveyMonkey, and has two children. She is particularly well-known for being one of the few female executives working for online or internet-based companies, a sector which has been predominately male.

This is meant to be a concentrated and relatively short read about how Sheryl Sandberg manages to balance both a demanding career in corporate America dominated by men while being a dedicated mom and wife.
