Revisionist Future: Incursion of Shadows

When writer Michael Schatten purchases an old typewriter for inspiration, he soon realizes that every storyline and character he creates on it becomes real! Frantic to know how the machine functions, he discovers that are two units, remnants of a top secret WW2 project. The other machine is in the hands of an acclaimed unscrupulous Russian Author seeking world domination. The system is based upon a supercomputer called the SAM which works in conjunction with a massive power generator. Both are coupled wirelessly to the typewriters. The author at the keyboard can create plots changing world’s future using disposable characters programmed to carry out any task. These beings are the doppelgangers of actual contemporary people cataloged within the SAM’s memory. Professor Everet Chelston, the former head of the project, hires Schatten to foil the Russian’s plot by amending it before the SAM computer converts it to reality in a one-week literary battle!
