Welcome to Peavey County, where nothing ever happens. This tiny, barely-accessible valley is located in a remote area of the south-western Virginia mountains, and its’ sparse population includes: Sherriff Gable Cole, a no-nonsense lawman who views the valley, and its’ citizens as his own personal protectorate. --- Dr. Karen Miller, a newcomer to the area, who desires nothing more than to practice medicine, and take refuge from a horrific past. ---The members of the Order of St. George, an obscure sect where the Brothers keep bees…..and secrets. -----And especially, young Candace Smith, a teen-ager born with remarkable abilities, whose powers are growing daily, incredible powers that may someday save the world…..or destroy it. Together with her friends, Mike and Lester, professional car-thieves, they begin the journey back, unawares that they are being pursued by the vicious former owners of the money who have been put on her trail due to the aid of an obsessed serial killer, who once had Luna escape from him.
