The word “love” in our culture has many meanings. It can mean desire,” I love chocolate cake.” It can define an amorphous happy feeling we have toward those people and things in our life we deem important. “I love my grandchildren.” Where does love come from? What does it really mean? Why is it at the heart of true Christianity? Why can’t Christianity exist without love? What is the relationship between God and love? Understanding love in its truest sense is the first step in understanding who Christ was and what was his message. When Christians have erred over the centuries and even in many churches today it is because they have lost track of this foundation of Christian belief.

The next challenge is applying love to daily decision making. How can we incorporate the basic concept of love into our day to day decision making process? Are we ever allowed to be selfish? Is it OK to think about our own self-preservation and well-being? Should we give  all our possessions to the poor?  Are there guidelines we can follow in our decision making process?

**     What the book attempts to do is to analyze various everyday life situations where decisions need to be made. At the end of the day we are the product of our decisions; we are what we do. If we make decisions based upon love we are following Christ. The book analyzes how we handle decision making in areas like competition, money, sex, power, beauty, business and family matters.  The objective of the book is to help us make better decisions  and  avoid the trap of selfishness.  If you struggle from time to time as to how to become a better Christian then you should read this book.**
