Doctor Rex Thomas forgot himself once, and he promised never again. He had a career to consider and it was all wrong, after all. He had succumbed to his most secret desires and seduced the one person he should not have.
He thought he had kept Adelaide Holden safe but what was a red blooded man to do when the sexy married woman showed up at his door, begging to be 'treated'?
***
"What. What is it, Mrs. Holden?" I was at a loss. She was, outwardly, the same as ever, impeccably dressed and poised. But her color was high and a strand of hair had escaped her glossy caramel bun.
She lifted a hand to smooth it back and I saw that she was trembling. My heart started to pound. I knew there was always physical tension between us but Mrs. Holden was an ace at managing it -- and I did my very best to match her self control.
She stood up and stepped back, tottering a little with those delicate high heels of hers, not to mention the suddenness of her movement. I stood up, too, skirting my desk and reached out to help her.
At the last moment, I drew my hands away but Mrs. Holden took hold of me, steadying herself.
"I'm sorry, Dr. Thomas." She didn't meet my eyes, instead she seemed intent on watching the floor. "I knew you said we shouldn't meet again but..."
I wondered if she could hear my heart pounding so loudly in my chest. I did say that, and I meant it, too. But now that she was here...
My eyes feasted at her slender body, curves in all the right places, hinted only slightly by her outfit. Her fingers felt small on me, wrapping gently and warm.
She was trying to speak again and my eyes were fixed on her lips. They were as rosy as ever, moist and full. God, I knew exactly how they felt against mine, how she moaned when they became swollen under my kiss.
