Felix wants to show up Cáel by taking Brooke from him. The only problem Brooke is not Cáel’s to lose. After drinks, Cáel heads home alone to Odette and Timothy and Felix takes Brooke home.
Cáel makes contact with Brooke very early the next morning after Felix had counted coup and left her emotionally dissatisfied; Cáel solved that issue before heading into work.
Felix gloats to Cáel giving him Brooke’s panties in from of ES staff. Sparks fly and it is agreed Felix and Cáel will meet in the gym to settle Felix’s dominance play after work. Yasmin and Cáel warm-up and practice together before the match up with Felix. Felix arrives to find both Full Blood and Runners are unhappy with his attitudes to all women; calling ES staff cheerleaders did not help. Felix lack of respect for Cáel’s boxing style leads to two jabs and knockout right ending the match.
Wednesday and Thursday were memorable for three things. Cáel learns Pamela, his knife fighting teacher, was the greatest Amazon assassin of the 20th century; great sex multiple times with different partners and positions; by Oneida’s aborting Cáel’s BDSM role playing rape of Rhada in the park.
Friday morning (Day 19) Cáel is seized by mixed group of SD and house guards placed in chains and dragged to a Full Council meeting. The Council has decided Cáel’s fate, breeding slave. Then Shawnee, Head of House Arinniti revealed Cáel’s genetic history proving he was the descendant of a male Amazon from the time of the Ash Men; Cáel is of the blood of Ishara an extinct house. Because his forefather was never removed from the Amazon Hosts Rolls he died an Amazon and all his descendants are Amazons!
To be the Head of House, one must either be elected by the peers of your house, succeed in accepted ritual combat, or, in extremis, it shall be the eldest surviving member of the Host of that House. Cáel Nyilas is clearly the only member of House Ishara currently in the Host: so he is House Ishara's Head from slave to Head of one of the First Houses. That stirs the hornet’s nest. Cáel’s new status lets him escape the council meeting; he is the only member of a first house.
He quickly meets with Buffy and Helena; in front of Desiree and other ES ladies. Cáel using his tears, blood and fire inducts Buffy and Helena into House Ishara as First and Second of House Ishara. This makes them full members of the Host and the equal of every Full Blood Amazon.
Pamela’s and Cáel’s special relationship becomes stronger and Pamela becomes Cáel’s protective shadow.
Cáel, at home, finds Odette and Oneida discussing basic BDSM tenants; this leads to sex, Oneida turns out to be very vocal and loud. Saturday and Sunday were pretty normal for except for the gang rumble at the basketball court.
Sunday evening Nicole, calls for a booty call and Cáel goes to her office for sex. When leaving Nicole’s office he ran into Brianna O’Shea. Brianna is a clone of Cáel’s mother and his aunt (one of several) also she is a client of Nicole’s law office. Ms O’Shea is there because someone at Havenstone leaked Cáel’s genetic information to the Illuminati. Cáel’s maternal
grandfather, Cáel O’Shea, was the leader of the Illuminati until Pamela slit his throat. Pamela invokes the treaty protocols between the Amazons and the Illuminati which allows the two to depart in peace.
First thing Monday morning Cáel’s ire is raised when SD blows off his firearms training; left to his own devices he practices with the grenade launcher, in the pistol range.
After work Brooke comes over; sex ensues, in mid bout Cáel’s phone rings; there has been an incident at his father’s house in Chicago. Cáel returns to Katrina’s office with the SD team after a quick detour to get Brooke home safe.
Katrina informs Cáel his Father is dead!
