We are on a journey of learning the Kabbalah, our destination is to meet our higher self, the true representative angel of our own self.  When one encounters his or her guardian angel the goal has been reached.  His guardian becomes his teacher and guide and takes him to meet the Lord most high God.

As travelers our first step of the journey was the first letter Aleph and the tarot card named the fool.  Every journey begins with the first step and hence our first step on the journey is the second letter of the hebrew alphabets which is BETH, which has a numerical value of one.

The Kabbalah lesson two examines the properties and attributes of the first letter beth,  its powers and some of its applications.  It is the first step of our journey of many miles.  At the stage of Aleph which is zero, we have simply packed our belongings, yet we stand and hove not made any moves yet.  We are still within the house and have not stepped outside on to our journey.  We gathered our belongings into a sack, and tied it to a stick.  We invited our dog to accompany us on our journey; like they say a dog is a man’s best friend.

The dog is our companion on this journey which also warns us of dangers around us.  The animal has sharp senses, and can hear what we don’t hear, can smell what we do not smell and can sense danger before it gets to us.  The dog is both our protector and guardian.
