- On the evening of July 15th 2016, a faction of soldiers within the Turkish Armed Forces carried out the seventh coup attempt in Turkey’s history. In various cities of Turkey, particularly in Ankara and Istanbul. This was also the 3rd time a military coup attempt had failed in Turkey.
