Invariance

Chased through the alleys of San Francisco by men not quite human, Fenster is guided through a wormhole Window to another universe, where the eternal city Invariance shines brightly. Forced again and again to defend himself, Fenster learns of his own superhuman heritage, only to find himself at odds with his unsuspected father and brothers. There too he meets the eternally reincarnated Pallas Athene, and is bewitched by her odd combination of youthful beauty and energy, and half-remembered ancient wisdom. Fighting demons within, and the perils of string theory without, Fenster must learn the secrets of creating his own wormholes as a Window Walker.
