The message of this book is: No matter where you are in deciding to divorce or not, take one more opportunity to Stop, Look and Listen before you turn and drive onto Divorce street.

It is not unusual for people in the height of romantic love to rush into marriage only to regret it later. Nor is it unusual for people in the depth of despair to rush out of marriage.

This book is based on my personal experience with going through a divorce and, how I recovered from it, as well as my 45 years of professional experience of counseling couples considering divorce.

My wife, Linda and I have been married for 30 years proving the old adage, old dogs can learn new tricks.

This approach is based on believing that within yourself you know what is best for all involved. I believe within our natural make up is an internal genius who knows the truth.

We listen to our internal genius as we think and feel deeply about our responses to suggestions and possible alternatives.
As you read them, pay close attention to your internal reaction/dialogue. Listen to hear what you are saying to yourself, such as:
· That makes no sense and doesn’t apply to me.
· That seems to be true in my case too.
· I’ll have to give this one some thought.
Trust yourself. You know better than any person on earth what you need to do now.
