Introduction

Believe it or not, when given the chance to interact socially, unless of course you are a totally outgoing, extroverted sort of person, a large percentage of us may find the going tough. That is because we have been genetically programmed by nature not to be social at first instance. And later on, with the passing of time, and the veneer of civilization adding to the natural instincts, man decided that any sort of social interaction is only going to be among people of his own social standing, and he would talk to men of lower rank only when necessary.

Millenniums have passed since then. However, the situation has changed all over the world, and it is the 21st-century. There is absolutely no rhyme, reason, or security need for you to be wary and chary to go and talk to somebody, because you think your life depends on it. That is not so. So this book is for all those people who absolutely cannot talk to anybody in a social milieu, do not know how to make small talk, or get into a conversation, or interact with anybody just because they are so shy.

Let me tell you something – 2,000 years ago, if you behaved in this antisocial manner, and did not conform to tribal traditions by being a part of a social group, it was possible that you would be destroyed because you were a threat to the whole group. That was because you were definitely not around asking questions on how to survive. You definitely did not take part in any survival exercises and training sessions. Instead you went off all alone to commune with nature, and to talk to the animals and trees, because you were different and could not be bothered to talk to human beings.

In Africa, of course, you would be fed to the Crocodiles. In Asia you would have been put in a large group, with people of your own age group, bullying and tormenting you, until you retaliated. If you were not able to retaliate, it meant that you did not have the spirit to survive. So next sacrificial session, you would have been sacrificed to the mother earth, because nobody would be willing to carry your burden.
