It’s College World Series week in Omaha Nebraska, and the perfect time for Amy Woods’ food truck, Hot Diggity Dog, to make its debut. Supplies are loaded, the bright yellow truck is polished to a shine. Amy and her Aunt Connie are wearing their Husker aprons and ball caps and raring to go. Their mini-doxie, Warren, is decked out in his adorable hotdog suit. What could go wrong?
Let me count the ways:
Sammy, their usual assistant is a no-show; Hank, the substitute hire, is argumentative and far too appealing to Amy’s libido; customers ignore the recycling containers, and Warren has a heat stroke. Oh, and there’s a terrorist threat to blow up the ballpark.
