'Hamish and the Hankibird'.   ( an illustrated book aimed at 5 years + )

Hamish, has just lost his grandfather and his world has turned grey with grief. He sobs himself to sleep every night, crying into the treasured handkerchief that grandad gave him while still alive.

He drapes the soggy hanky on the bedpost to dry overnight, but wakes in the darkness to find that it has changed into a strange luminous bird....the Hankibird.

The bird has the power to project into the darkness of Hamish's bedroom colourful images from his past adventures with grandad, reminding Hamish of grandad's 'cup half full' attitude to life.

The memories gradually restore colour and positivity to Hamish's life reflected in the illustrations, and the positive realisation that Grandad will always be with him through his memories.
